Private Lesson - Wheel Throwing

Service Description

Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience throwing on the wheel, this is your chance to get one-on-one (or one-on-two) attention. Let us know what level of experience you have and what you'd like to learn when you book and we will prepare an individualised lesson for you. Private lessons start with an in-depth demo by your tutor then you will have guided practice time for the rest of the lesson. NOTE: For lessons with 2 people, you will be sharing a wheel, so be prepared to swap from driver to passenger periodically. FINISHED WORK At the end of the lesson, you will choose up to 2 pieces per person which you would like to have fired. You will also choose a glaze colour for each piece. Neighbourhood technicians will turn, glaze and fire your pieces and they will be ready for collection a few weeks after the lesson. WHAT TO WEAR Clay and glaze both rinse out of clothes very easily, but wear something you don't mind getting a bit messy in. Also, please bring an apron if you have one. If not, we have spare ones you can use. NOTE: Participants must be aged 12 or over. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
